Personal Care Assistant / Medication Aide – Hillcrest Silver Ridge Location: Bellevue, NEService Line: Hillcrest Silver RidgeSchedule: Full-time Evenings - 2:00pm - 10:00pm and every other weekend Hillcrest Health & Living is looking for a compassionate and dependable Personal Care Assistant / Medication Aide to join our assisted living team at Hillcrest Silver Ridge in Bellevue, NE. Hillcrest Silver Ridge is a welcoming senior living community where residents receive personalized support while maintaining as much independence, choice, and connection as possible. What You’ll Do As a Personal Care Assistant / Medication Aide, you will provide quality personal care and medication support based on each resident’s individual needs and service plan. You will help residents with daily routines while creating a positive, safe, and respectful living environment. You will: Provide medications to residents by following the five rights of medication administration and accurately document medication support. Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, and use of adaptive devices such as hearing aids, glasses, and dentures. Take vital signs as ordered and promptly report out-of-range findings to the Nurse Manager or Director of Health Services. Monitor and report changes in resident condition, needs, or concerns to nursing and incoming or outgoing shifts. Assist residents with meals and dining, including guiding residents to and from meals and ensuring residents are accounted for. Support health-maintenance activities under the direction and oversight of a licensed healthcare professional. Understand and follow procedures for emergency medical services and resident emergency needs. Assist with laundry of residents’ personal clothing and linens. Complete resident documentation in the electronic medical record as required. Assist with scheduled resident activities and help create meaningful engagement opportunities. Complete general assigned cleaning, including making beds, organizing resident spaces, removing trash, and maintaining a clean environment. Build positive, professional relationships with residents, families, guests, and team members. What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who is compassionate, reliable, and committed to helping older adults live with dignity and independence. The right candidate will be attentive to details, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to provide calm, respectful support when resident needs change. Ideal candidates will have: Experience providing personal care in assisted living, memory support, senior living, healthcare, or a similar setting preferred. A caring and resident-centered approach to daily support and medication assistance. Strong communication skills with residents, families, nurses, and team members. Ability to observe changes in resident condition and communicate concerns promptly. A calm, flexible, and professional approach in changing or stressful situations. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, dignity, and quality care. A dependable, team-oriented mindset and willingness to support community needs. Education & Credentials Active Nebraska 40-hour Medication Aide certification required. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Physical & Other Requirements Must be able to speak, read, and write English. Must be able to independently lift up to 35 pounds. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail. Must be able to utilize technology and resources efficiently and effectively.
