Job Description

TEACHER OF STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES (MIDDLE SCHOOL)
2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
MEMORIAL MIDDLE SCHOOL


We are presently accepting applications for the following position. This position requires proper NJ certification. 
TEACHER OF STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES (MIDDLE SCHOOL)

QUALIFICATIONS:

NJ Certificate: Instructional (K-12) (Mathematics or English, preferred)

                         OR Teacher of Elementary Schools (K-6) w/ Middle School Subject Specialization in Mathematics or English

                         Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) endorsement, required

 

  • Familiar with NJ Student Learning Standards
  • Strong instructional background
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working with at-risk students
  • Experience working with developmentally disabled students
  • Experience working with data collection systems
  • Knowledge of curriculum modifications
  • Experience working with middle school students, preferred
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and implement evidence-based interventions to meet diverse student needs
  • Experience collaborating with general education teachers, related services providers, and administrators 

     

Salary range: $64,000 - $117,380 (click on the following link for the full salary schedule: Fair Lawn Education Association)
