Senior Manager, Group Procurement
(Category Lead – Professional Services & Marketing/MICE | Governance)
Purpose
You will play a key role in shaping and advancing our Group Procurement agenda, leading both strategic sourcing and governance initiatives across diverse spend categories.
Key Accountabilities
1. Category Management & Strategic Sourcing
Lead end-to-end category management across:
Professional services
Marketing, branding, customer engagement, events & conferences (MICE)
Develop and execute short-, medium- and long-term sourcing strategies
Conduct end-to-end sourcing (demand analysis, market analysis, bidding, negotiation, contracting)
Identify cost optimization, efficiency, and risk mitigation opportunities
Drive regional vendor strategies and supplier rationalization
Deliver annual savings targets and financial benefits
2. Procurement Governance & Transformation
Establish and drive procurement governance framework, policies, and processes
Monitor policy compliance, reporting, and procurement dashboards/analytics
Act as a governance advisor to stakeholders on best practices, controls, and risk
Lead vendor performance reviews and re-assessment of strategic vendors
Support procurement transformation, organization development, and process improvement (S2P, contract management)
3. Vendor & Risk Management
Manage strategic vendor relationships to optimize cost, service, and quality
Lead vendor risk management, due diligence, and lifecycle management
Define vendor selection, negotiation strategy, and contracting structures
Assess and mitigate commercial and contract risks
Ensure continuity of supply and compliance with Group standards
4. Business Partnering
Act as a procurement business partner to Group functions and business units
Build strong stakeholder relationships and drive early procurement engagement
Provide guidance on procurement processes, policies, and best practices
Qualification
12+ years of experience in procurement, with category leadership exposure
Strong expertise in professional services and/or marketing & events procurement
Proven track record in strategic sourcing, negotiation, contract and vendor management
Solid understanding of procurement governance and risk management
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
Experience in financial services and/or a fast-paced regional environment preferred
