From day one, you’ll be an integral part of our multi-disciplinary medical development team, tackling real technical challenges while receiving guidance and training from experienced engineers. You’ll gain hands-on experience with a wide range of applications, from tiny, wirelessly powered medical implants to large-scale diagnostic equipment. You might find yourself working with analogue circuits, digital systems, FPGAs, antennas, signal processing, and much more.

What you'll be doing

During your internship, you will likely:

  • Contribute to innovation in workshops and technical reviews.
  • Analyse experimental data and develop conclusions to shape project outcomes.
  • Learn and apply modern soldering techniques.
  • Document your work through technical analyses, test plans, and reports.
  • Present your technical findings to both specialist and non-specialist audiences.
  • Balance your time effectively across multiple project commitments.
  • Gain invaluable insight from the talented professionals around you.

What You Can Bring

We’re looking for applicants who:

  • Are currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Electronics, Mathematics, or Physics.
  • Are eligible to undertake a 12-month industrial placement as part of their course.
  • Demonstrate curiosity, a passion for learning, and a drive to see the bigger picture.
  • Have hands-on experience with electronics lab equipment and soldering tools.
  • Have a solid understanding of electronics fundamentals.
  • Have exposure to software development.

Please ensure your CV includes your A Level (or equivalent) subjects and grades, as well as any relevant university modules.

Covering statements are advantageous though by no means a necessity.
