Plate Puller / Sorter
Role Description:
This role will be responsible for pulling plates ahead of production on a job basis. Plates are pulled and organized on a job basis and are accessible for the builders when they need them.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Pull plates from inventory and gather in organized fashion as directed from material list.
Keep work area neat, clean, free from any possible hazards or debris.
Assist table personnel in finding plates for particular jobs as necessary.
Notify Plant Manager of inventory shortages or potential outages.
Always adhere to company safety procedures, wearing required PPE while in plant area.
Operate in all facets with a high degree of customer service and attentiveness to other truss team members.
Work in open warehouse atmosphere with conditions similar to outdoors.
Any other tasks or projects as assigned by management
Skills Needed:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
Be able to differentiate between different plate sizes and specs.
Good customer service skills

Regularly required to walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and to talk or hear.
Often required to sit, stand, climb or balance, and occasionally to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Regularly required to lift, move, or maneuver objects up to 60 pounds.
Constant bending and turning, handling of sharp steel objects
