As an Associate Merchant, your decisions will shape what millions of customers see on our shelves—and how they experience their homes. You’ll set the strategy, lead the category, and define the future of flooring assortments nationwide. This is a role where your insight drives real revenue and your impact is felt in every store.
Your Day Consists Of
Leading the strategic vision for your category: planning, budgeting, forecasting, and maximizing margin.
Building trend-right product assortments that reflect customer needs across all U.S. regions.
Directly sourcing and negotiating with vendors to secure the best product at the best price—without compromise.
Partnering with cross-functional teams like Inventory, Planning, Marketing, and Visual Merchandising to bring product strategies to life in-store and online.
Collaborating with Regional Merchandising leads to ensure tailored assortments for each market.
Driving decisions through data: analyzing performance, market trends, and customer behavior to make sharp, informed calls.
You’ll Be Successful With
5+ years of hands-on merchandising experience paired with a strategic, solutions-oriented mindset.
Deep knowledge of the vendor landscape, sourcing models, and pricing strategy.
Strong negotiation skills that create long-term value for the business.
Sharp commercial instincts and the ability to forecast market trends ahead of competitors.
Leadership that drives cross-functional alignment and high-quality execution.
Comfort managing multiple moving parts while delivering on both detail and deadlines
Working Conditions (travel, hours, environment)
Limited travel may be required including air and car travel
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles.
- The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.
Physical/Sensory Requirements
Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
