KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As In-Room Dining Order Taker, you will:
1. Exceptional Guest Experiences
· Manage all in-room dining orders via telephone, app or online ordering platforms promptly, ensuring the highest level of customer service
· Develop great customer relationships, recognizing long staying guests and their preferences to improve loyalty
· Know your menus, daily specials and promotions in detail, so you can advise guests on dishes, ingredients, portion sizes and beverage options when you take their orders
· Contribute to achieving in-room dining revenue targets through upselling
· Treat food allergies, dietary requirements and customer modifications with absolute seriousness
· Communicate effectively with the culinary team so that all orders are correct, well-presented and delivered on time.
· Follow up on guest feedback and take action to improve service and resolve complaints quickly and professionally, with support from your Supervisor when needed
2. Great Working Environment
· Work effectively with the F&B team to make sure operations run smoothly, contributing to a supportive, inclusive and motivational working environment for all Team Members
3. Day-To-Day Essentials
· Make sure that you strictly comply with all regulations and standards, including health, safety and hygiene.
· Make sure that you record all transactions in the POS system accurately at the time of order, that billing is accurate and that cash handling complies with hotel guidelines.
· Maintain operational effectiveness, using efficient sequences of service to reduce cycle times
· Give feedback and suggestions to the Restaurant leadership team to improve guest and team member experiences.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We’re looking for a motivated candidate who is passionate about food and beverage, with at least 2-3 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
To be successful in this position you will have:
· Guest focus, maintaining the highest standards of authentic service to create memorable guest experiences every time.
· Excellent communication skills to create connections with diverse customers and share information clearly
· Great teamwork and a positive attitude
· Flexibility and adaptability, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm and focused under pressure.
A good knowledge of F&B systems, Front Office Systems and MS Office would be an advantage. You will also be fluent in English
