Job Description Summary
Provide technical leadership on a variety of projects performing applicable analyses within the nuclear and safety analysis engineering functions. In particular, technical evaluations and analyses for plant thermal-hydraulic stability analyses, plant noise analyses, PRNM stability interface, and other nuclear safety analyses in Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) plants, including currently operating BWRs as well as new plants (BWRX, ABWR) operating or planned worldwide.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
* Responsible for Technical Leadership on a production oriented engineering analysis team for all aspects of the engineering design process, including proposal development, budgetary estimates, schedule and resource planning, design performance, and release for customer delivery.
* Provide Technical Leadership in the areas of plant thermal-hydraulic stability analyses, plant noise analyses, PRNM stability interface, and other safety analyses with general expertise in two-phase thermal hydraulic analysis techniques.
* Deliver fuel projects including reload analyses, Stability methods implementation, new fuel introduction, and safety analysis support for emergent fuel issues.
* Perform in cross-disciplinary settings, engaged with interfacing teams responsible for mechanical design, core design, licensing, systems design or other affiliated organizations to find optimum customer solutions.
* Provide technical mentoring to support Stability Analysis staff development and knowledge management, including procedure development and adherence.
* Develop/deliver training course offerings in support of external commercial requests, as well as for internal audiences for knowledge management, and knowledge capture/transfer.
* Identify and manage technical risk and assist in developing workable plans for engineering deliverables. Manage project work schedules and priorities.
* Ensure work is in compliance with NRC regulated policies and procedures, as well as Quality Assurance standards.
* Interface with internal and external customers on technical issues.
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical, or similar) from an accredited college or university.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in Nuclear Industry in BWR or PWR safety analysis.
Desired Qualifications:
* Experience in Stability analyses, plant noise analyses, PRNM stability interface, and stability setpoints methodology
* Previous technical leadership experience or ownership in key technical areas
* M.S. Degree in Engineering Discipline with experience in thermal hydraulic modeling as applied to nuclear reactor systems
* Experience with BWRs, ABWR and ESBWR technology
* Experience in BWR Stability analysis to support applicable regulatory requirements
* Knowledge of plant operational support in the Stability area
* Excellent writing and verbal communications skills
* Experience with BWR simulator and use of 3-D neutron kinetics code (e.g., PANAC)
* Experience with BWR/PWR T/H systems codes such as TRACG, TRACE, or RELAP
* Knowledge of reactor licensing requirements
* Experience with programming (C#, FORTRAN, PYTHON)
* Demonstrated high energy and the ability to energize others

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $111,200.00 and $213,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
