Summary: The Student Support Coordinator provides comprehensive case management and coordination of student services to support academic success and overall well-being. This position manages and responds to complex student concerns, including crisis and emergency situations involving mental health, medical, social, economic, and transitional challenges that may impede student success. The role is responsible for coordinating timely and appropriate responses to student needs, including assessment, referral, and follow-up support. This includes development and monitoring of individualized success and aftercare plans, particularly for students returning from crisis or intensive support services. The Student Support Coordinator collaborates closely with campus and community partners, including counseling services, health providers, public safety, and academic units, and serves as a key liaison to faculty, staff, students, and families. The position also supports outreach, training, and program development to enhance institutional capacity to respond to students in distress and promote student success. Duties Responsibilities: Provides case management and coordination of campus and community services for students experiencing complex or high-risk concerns. Maintains ongoing communication to assess needs, monitor progress, and ensure timely access to appropriate resources. Serves as an advocate for student success. Collaborate with campus departments and external partners, including counseling services, health providers, public safety, and community agencies, to coordinate responses to student concerns. Develops and maintains strategic relationships to support effective service delivery and student outcomes. Develops, implements, and monitors individualized success and aftercare plans, particularly for students transitioning from crisis or intensive support services. Maintains accurate and timely records of services and interventions in accordance with university standards and best practices. Provides consultation and guidance to faculty, staff, students, and families regarding students of concern, including assessment of risk and appropriate intervention strategies. Serves as a liaison to campus partners such as the Dean of Students Office, Campus Behavioral Intervention Team, Counseling Services, Housing, Disability Services, and academic units. Provides supportive intervention and crisis response as needed, including assisting with urgent or emergent situations and facilitating appropriate referrals. Conducts outreach, prevention programming, and training to increase awareness and capacity to respond to students in distress. Assists with functional supervision of graduate interns and student staff, as applicable.
