Job Description
Compensation / Benefits
- $14.29-$23.34/hr depending on previous work experience
- Evening differential $1.50/hr.
- Night differential $1.75/hr.
- Weekend differential $1.75/hr.

Norman Regional Hospital Intermediate Care (IMC) cares for a wide variety of critical patients with complex medical conditions. NRHS IMC team is the step down unit and dedicated stroke unit providing award winning advanced stroke care.
Job Summary
Job Summary
- Provides basic patient care
- Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment
- Takes and records vital sign (VS) data and relays to patient's nurse
- Provides general nursing care and routine treatment /procedures
- Facilitates processing of patients
- Provides clerical receptionist support
- Provides Coordinating Support
- Performs additional duties related to the specific needs of the department
Qualifications
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent GED
- Certification as a nursing assistant or 6 months of recent experience as a nursing assistant
Experience
- Six (6) months of recent experience as a nursing assistant
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school or successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course; or six (6) months previous experience in a healthcare position can be substituted for the experience
(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).
Licensure/Certification
- Basic Life Support *(BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment
- Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
