Job Summary
Design Engineer to lead and support concept development of large structural systems for Energy & heavy industry. The role focuses on translating functional requirements into robust concepts, developing 3D models in Creo, performing structural analysis in Creo Simulation, and proposing optimized solutions considering cost, manufacturability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop conceptual designs for large structural components and assemblies for construction and mining equipment
- Translate product requirements into feasible engineering concepts, layouts, and design proposals
- Create and modify 3D CAD models and assemblies in Creo
- Perform preliminary FEA to validate structural integrity, stiffness, fatigue, and load cases through Creo Simulation
- Evaluate and optimize designs for cost, weight, manufacturability, and durability
- Prepare concept presentations, design reports, and technical documentation for internal and customer reviews
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, sourcing, testing, and project management
- Support design reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering activities

Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- 5+ Year of experience in concept and structural design of large welded or fabricated structures
- Strong proficiency in Creo (Parametric) for 3D modeling and assemblies
- Hands-on experience with FEA tools (Creo Simulate)
- Good understanding of hydraulic systems, including routing, pumps, motors, and system integration
