Position Purpose:
The HR Coordinator I at the Company is pivotal in advancing HR functions by adeptly assisting with recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and training initiatives, ensuring that all processes align with regulatory compliance and organizational standards. This role requires a proactive individual with strong organizational and communication skills to effectively manage employee records, support administrative tasks, and serve as a key liaison for HR-related inquiries, contributing to a seamless and positive experience for the Company's Business Customers. The HR Coordinator I's efforts are central to fostering a collaborative workplace culture, supporting HR policy development, and enhancing employee engagement and retention.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate Recruitment Processes: Provide comprehensive support to managers during recruitment by leveraging Workday to streamline candidate selection and processing, ensuring timely and efficient hiring.
Coordinate Onboarding Activities: Manage and oversee new hire onboarding, including verifying new hire documentation, conducting onboarding sessions, and facilitating a seamless integration into the company.
Manage Employee Relations: Act as a primary contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, offering guidance on policies, benefits, and workplace matters to enhance employee satisfaction and engagement.
HR Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and data in HR systems, ensure compliance with labor regulations, and prepare detailed reports to support HR management decision-making.
Training and Development Oversight: Coordinate and support the implementation of Learning Management System (LMS) training programs, assisting employees and managers to ensure effective skill development and career advancement.
Payroll and Benefits Assistance: Address inquiries related to payroll processes, including time and absence management, and provide detailed information to employees regarding benefits enrollment and available programs.
General HR Support: Contribute to various HR initiatives by participating in HR projects across all functional areas, and regularly update HR management on best practices to continuously improve HR processes.
Direct Manager Direct Reports:
Direct Manager: The HR Coordinator I will report directly to the HR Manager, providing essential support in all human resources functions and initiatives.
Direct Reports: This role does not have any direct reports. The HR Coordinator I collaborates closely with various departments to uphold and promote the Company's positive workplace culture and employee engagement strategies.
Travel Requirements:
The HR Coordinator I at the Company is not required to regularly travel, allowing the focus to remain on on-site HR functions and local employee engagement initiatives.
Physical Requirements:
The HR Coordinator I position at the Company primarily involves standard office-based physical expectations, which include the ability to remain stationary for prolonged periods while operating a computer and other office equipment such as a telephone and printer. The role requires regular communication with team members and employees, necessitating clear verbal communication and active listening. Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in business or customer relations.
Demonstrated strong interest in pursuing a career in human resources.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information.
Availability to work Monday through Friday between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm CST.
Experience or familiarity with using HR systems, with Workday experience considered a plus.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional HR certification, such as PHR or SHRM-CP, demonstrating a commitment to the human resources profession and ongoing professional development.
Prior experience working within the manufacturing or industrial sector, providing valuable insights into industry-specific HR practices and challenges.
Familiarity with occupational health and safety regulations to assist in compliance and employee safety initiatives.
Advanced proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS) beyond Workday, such as SAP or Oracle HRMS, contributing to efficient HR data management and reporting.
Demonstrated capability in using data analytics tools to analyze HR metrics and contribute to evidence-based decision-making processes.
Experience working in a culturally diverse environment, which aids in fostering an inclusive workplace and engaging effectively with diverse employee groups.
Proficiency in additional languages, enhancing communication and support to a globally diverse workforce.
Proven ability to manage HR projects from inception to completion, ensuring strategic alignment and timely execution.
Experience using project management software, promoting structured and efficient project tracking and collaboration.
Strong interpersonal skills with a history of building effective working relationships across various levels of an organization.
Experience facilitating workshops or training sessions, showcasing capabilities in knowledge sharing and employee development.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a track record of implementing innovative solutions to streamline HR processes and enhance employee satisfaction.
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments and to manage multiple priorities without compromising quality or efficiency.
