About Us
At Gallagher, our purpose is to protect what matters most — and we live that every day. Our technology is used in more than 160 countries, protecting everything from government infrastructure and global headquarters to dairy farms, wildlife parks, and critical sites around the world.
Headquartered in Hamilton and proudly New Zealand-owned since 1938, we’re a global technology business with over 1,700 people worldwide. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a commercially minded analyst to support and strengthen our global finance function.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Group Finance Business Partner, you'll play an important role in Gallagher's budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting processes, using AI tools, advanced Excel modelling and modern planning systems to transform complex financial and operational data into meaningful commercial insight.
Working closely with senior finance leaders, Finance Business Partners and General Managers across the Group, you'll help deliver accurate budgets and forecasts, performance reporting, and business case analysis that supports investment decisions. You'll also build strong commercial finance capability while contributing to continuous improvement across our global finance function.
Bringing a strong commercial lens to variance and performance analysis, you'll identify the key drivers behind business results and translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that support better decision-making across the business.
What You’ll Do
Support coordination of the Group's budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes
Build AI-assisted tools and advanced Excel models to consolidate, analyse and interpret financial and operational data
Prepare standardised and ad hoc performance reports for Finance Business Partners and business leaders
Analyse variances in sales volume, mix and overhead performance to identify key drivers and support meaningful commentary
Assist in the review and financial analysis of business cases and capital expenditure proposals
Provide backup coverage across the Finance Business Partnering team, building working knowledge of RDTI, IS finance support and intercompany recharge processes
Support ad hoc analysis, special projects and process improvement initiatives as they arise
Who You Are
You'll be naturally curious, analytical and enjoy turning numbers into meaningful business insights. You're excited by the opportunities AI and modern analytics bring to finance, with a proactive mindset and a passion for continuous improvement. You will be comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines, enjoy working with data, and be looking to build your commercial finance experience within a fast-paced, global organisation.

Good communication skills, with the ability to present analysis clearly
Desirable:
Working towards or part-qualified CA, CPA or CIMA
Experience with Adaptive Planning or similar EPM/CPM planning tools
Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
Exposure to intercompany or recharge processes
