General Summary
As a hands-on contributor, the Regional Technology Associate will play a key role in advancing data-informed decision-making, enabling automation, and driving continuous improvement through the adoption of emerging construction technologies. Success in this role means identifying high-value operational pain points, rapidly testing practical solutions, and helping the region adopt tools that improve efficiency, visibility, and decision-making.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Regional Engagement & Discovery
- Learn Granite’s regional operations, business processes, and civil construction workflows through direct engagement with operation teams.
- Actively mine, document, and catalog technology opportunities surfaced by project teams and leadership.
- Leverage statistical, analytical, and software development skills to translate operational pain points into data-informed problem statements and solution concepts.
- Identify and support opportunities for innovation and technology adoption across construction workflows and operations.
Technology Development & Enablement
- Design, prototype, and develop lightweight applications, tools, or analytics to move ideas into a pilotable state.
- Support the evaluation, testing, and adoption of modern development platforms, low-code/no-code tools, cloud-based solutions, and AI-assisted development technologies aligned with construction operations in close collaboration with end users.
- Assist with release planning, versioning, testing, and deployment of early-stage solutions.
Coordination & Communication
- Package ideas, pilots, and learnings into concise briefings and artifacts suitable for leadership review.
- Support transition of validated solutions from pilots into enterprise pathways, where appropriate.
- Provide technical support to ensure adoption, effective use and consistent understanding of digital, analytics, and AI-enabled tools across operations.
Governance & Quality
- Follow Granite technology standards, governance, and security guidelines.
- Document solutions, assumptions, test results, and lessons learned to support scalability and reuse.
- Support evaluation of new technologies by presenting justification from financial, safety, and quality perspectives.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Experience with or strong familiarity with Microsoft 365 Copilot, including prompting, workflow integration, or document automation.
- Experience building or configuring AI agents and workflows using platforms such as Copilot Studio, Stack AI, n8n, or similar tools.
- Ability to identify and automate workflows using low-code or no-code tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps, or similar platforms.
- Working knowledge of data analysis tools such as advanced Excel functions, Power BI, Python, R, or SQL is preferred.
- Experience building lightweight apps using platforms such as Power Platform, Power Apps, Dataverse, Replit, or similar AI-assisted development environments.
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Lists).

- Curious, proactive, and motivated to learn how work gets done in a construction environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical teams, including field and operations users.
- Comfortable working in ambiguity, learning on the job, and iterating quickly.
- Demonstrated passion for technology adoption, analytics, and continuous improvement.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, or related field preferred. Construction technology, construction management, or civil engineering degrees are also acceptable when paired with strong software or analytics experience.
- 1–3 years of experience applying software, analytics, or technology solutions is preferred, particularly in construction, operations, or related environments.

Base Salary Range:
$57,579.00 - $86,368.00Pay may vary based upon relevant experience, skills, location, and education among other factors.
