Job Description
Key job responsibilities
* Lead electronic system design projects from concept through production
* Partner across engineering, manufacturing, and business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and prioritize project requirements while balancing diverse objectives
* Architect, design, and optimize electrical modules, assemblies, and systems — including design considerations for system integration, manufacturability, testability, reliability, and cost
* Develop electrical schematics and provide oversight for component placement and layout activities of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) — including component selection, floor planning, signal and power integrity review
* Perform circuit simulations to analyze functionality and performance under various loading, environmental, and component tolerance scenarios.
* Develop electrical test plans — including bring up, verification, validation, and interoperability
* Conduct root cause analyses and implement mitigation strategies throughout the product lifecycle — including design modifications, factory test coverage, and maintenance protocols
* Manage relationships with external vendors and manufacturing partners
Last Mile Delivery & Technology is responsible for envisioning and developing forward-looking initiatives to improve the efficiency, speed, quality, and safety of the delivery experience for customers
- Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures
- Bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
- 7+ years of experience in electrical architecture and development of consumer, industrial, or automotive electronics
- Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium, Cadence, or similar)
- Experience designing complex embedded electronics architectures and interconnections — including SoCs, MCUs, FPGAs, DRAM, storage, digital communication interfaces (e.g., Ethernet, USB, CAN, I2C, SPI), and high-speed routing
- Experience writing technical documents, project plans, and progress reports
- Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
- Experience leading engineering design projects and interacting with cross-functional teams
- Experience with design verification and protocol compliance for high-speed and wireless interfaces (e.g., PCIe, USB, Ethernet, MIPI CSI, LTE/5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth)
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance, automotive electrical standards, and EMC/EMI mitigation techniques
- Proficiency with SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar tools for circuit simulation and system modeling
- Experience evaluating processing pipelines, compute and accelerator resources, and hardware/software integration tradeoffs

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
