
Manager, Business Development & Marketing - Sustainability & Responsible Business
Job Description
The Global SRB Manager will oversee marketing and business development for an active global team of lawyers focused on SRB topics, including climate and human rights.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Global Sustainability & Responsible Business Heads in Houston and London, the Senior BD & Marketing Manager in Hong Kong and senior members of the global BD & Marketing and Environmental Sustainability teams.
Duties and Accountabilities
Business Development and Client Management
Supporting the development of market-focused initiatives for the SRB group
Providing input for client requests and pitches with an SRB component, working closely with global BD
Project managing client requests for information on the Firm’s operations relating to SRB, working with the Firm’s global Environmental Sustainability team
Marketing and Profile Raising
Executing proactive, trend driven, externally facing marketing campaigns, including bespoke client roundtables, thought leadership, conference participation and social media exposure, working closely with global Comms and BD
Managing website content for the SRB Group
Supporting the global directories process and awards submissions focused on SRB
Team Infrastructure and Administration
Supporting Global SRB Co-Leads, including coordinating regular Core Team, Wider Team and Associate meetings
Providing administrative support, including producing fortnightly Updates, maintaining BD collateral, internal resources and the Firm’s Sustainability tracker
Preparing reports and responding to requests from Firm management
Qualifications and skills
The ideal candidate will be degree-qualified, with 7-10 years’ experience working ideally in BD for a law or other professional services firm
Ideally a basic understanding of SRB and an interest in the area
Ability to learn and build on knowledge of complex projects, markets, and structures
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality work
Effective multi-tasking, prioritisation, and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Strong work ethic, professionalism, and sense of responsibility, with sound analytical and decision-making skills
Team player with the ability to work independently, engage and build strong relationships, and gain the confidence of colleagues at all levels
Experience working with a CRM, ideally InterAction, and understanding of basic business development principles
Ability to coordinate projects and teams across time zones, with an acute awareness of cultural sensitivities

Location and Reporting
This role is based in our London office and our standard office hours are 09:30-18:00, with a current requirement for 4 days in the office (Monday - Thursday) per week.
