
Pharmacist- In House Specialty & Retail Pharmacy
Job Description
We are seeking a service and team-oriented Pharmacist to support and help lead an integrated in-house pharmacy program within a growing gastroenterology medical group. This position will oversee specialty pharmacy services, retail GI medication dispensing, and non-sterile compounding operations while supporting providers and patients across multiple clinic locations.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in specialty biologic therapies, 340B program management, retail pharmacy operations, and non-sterile compounding. This role is highly collaborative and plays a critical part in improving medication access, patient adherence, financial assistance coordination, and overall continuity of care for patients with complex gastrointestinal conditions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited pharmacy school
- Active Pharmacist license in the State of Florida
- Minimum 3 years of pharmacy experience in specialty, retail, or ambulatory care settings
- Proficient experience with pharmacy management systems, EMR integration, and inventory management platforms
- Experience with non-sterile compounding and USP <795> compliance
- Strong understanding of specialty pharmacy workflows, payer requirements, and medication access processes
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
Preferred:
- Direct experience with 340B pharmacy programs and biologic medications
- Experience in gastroenterology, infusion therapy, immunology, or specialty pharmacy
- Familiarity with URAC and/or ACHC accreditation standards
- Knowledge of GI-focused therapies and compounded gastrointestinal medications
