Job Description
To support the customers in IMEA market, Ecolab has established a state-of-the-art Research, Development and Engineering (RDE) center in Pune. We are seeking a Chemist who has strong collaboration and teamwork skills, is self-motivated, has good communication skills, is creative problem solvers, and possess strong observation and agility and perception skills.
What You Will Do:
- Be part of the Operational Innovation team, driving value in the sourcing of raw materials by enabling material cost optimization, supply resilience, and revenue growth.
- The successful candidate will gain insight into Ecolab raw materials and regulatory documentation and could take on greater responsibilities within Bridge over time.
- Primary responsibility is to support raw material alternate supplier approval projects, with focus on regulatory compliance
- Extract and organize data from SAP and other data management systems.
- Conduct document reviews.
- Work with procurement partners to expedite tasks and resolve issues
- Compare chemical compositions
- Analyze information to assess project complexity
- Enter information into the project management tool
- Collaborate with global OI team to prioritize work, solve problems and foster best practices
- Support will extend beyond IMEA to other regions, e.g. Americas and Europe
- May include work with Regulatory Affairs associates
Job Details:
- Location: Pune
- Work Schedule: 12:30-9:30 PM (IST), to better overlap with workdays in Europe and the Americas.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry/chemical engineering or related scientific discipline
- 1 -2 years of professional experience, preferably chemistry-related.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in chemistry/chemical engineering or related scientific discipline
- Regulatory background will be a plus
- Strong attention to detail and process-oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, SharePoint, and PowerBI
- Experience with SAP
- Previous experience executing regulatory compliance programs
- Ability to read and interpret technical and regulatory documents
- Ability to understand legal and regulatory requirements, as well as business priorities, and collaborate to identify the best course of action
- Flexibility and adaptability, as well as demonstrated comfort with ambiguity
- Ability to make sound business decisions with incomplete data
- Learning agility as it relates to systems, databases, and business and regulatory processes
- Experience working on a cross-functional team
