The Auditor is responsible for evaluating agency internal controls, operational workflows, and compliance with industry regulations and company standards. This role is critical to ensuring that title operations, escrow processes, and underwriting practices meet all legal requirements and adhere to internal risk management guidelines.
Work Arrangement
- Primarily in-office, with regular travel to agent locations
- Ability to travel for same-day trips within the state up to approximately 30–40% of the time is required
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive audits of agency title and escrow operations, including file reviews, disbursement processes, and underwriting practices
- Evaluate compliance with ALTA Best Practices, state regulations, and internal company policies
- Identify control gaps, operational inefficiencies, and potential areas of risk
- Prepare clear, detailed audit reports with actionable recommendations and share findings with appropriate management teams
- Perform statutory audits, compile necessary documentation, and submit required reports to regulatory agencies
- Assist in developing and maintaining the annual audit plan and schedule
- Stay current on evolving title insurance laws, escrow regulations, and industry trends
- Partner with legal, compliance, and operations teams to ensure ongoing regulatory readiness
- Track and follow up on corrective action plans and outstanding audit issues

The estimated pay range stated represents the typical pay range for this position or similarly employed employees or employees performing substantially similar work. Factors which may be used to determine the actual pay rate may include, but are not limited to, education, training or experience; seniority; merit and work performance; quantity or quality of production; regional differences in compensation; differences in local minimum wages, or ability and effort.
Position's Pay Range:
$70,000 - $80,000Benefits may include:
