Building Maintenance Technician ll

Position Overview

The Warehouse Mechanic oversees and repairs the building infrastructure and related support systems. This role will assist in the safe operation, daily monitoring and maintenance of all building related infrastructure and equipment including roofs, structural building components, site components, dock and man doors, dock plates, bollards and other protection elements, sprinkler systems, electrical systems, etc.

You will contribute by:

• Perform most requirements to plan, requisition materials, assemble, and install machines and equipment such as conveyors, racks, doors, doc equipment, curtains, fencing, guards, etc. 
• Diagnose, repair and/or report corrective measures for malfunctioning equipment and systems and communicate with employer and other mechanics. 
• Perform daily and weekly inspections of all systems' components to ensure proper operation and system integrity.
• Safely start systems, observe operation, read gauges and instrumentation, and perform adjustments as required for the proper operation of equipment and systems.
• Develop and perform preventative maintenance procedures for mechanical systems and perform preventative maintenance tasks as required by equipment manufacturer.

• Warehouse: Grocery Warehouse (50F to 90F)
• Warehouse: Perishable Warehouse (28F to 60F)
• Warehouse: Freezer (-20F to 0F)

• 2-5: Welding
• 2-5: Industrial Maintenance
• 2-5: Carpentry

Qualifications

General Equivalency Diploma - General Studies, High School Diploma - General Studies
