COMPENSATION RANGE: $70,000 - $95,000

Description:
We are looking for a Senior Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment to join our Hotel Accounting Team, working with our Sandman, Sandman Signature, and Sutton brands. This position will report to the Controller, Hotels Division.
Responsibilities
Lead full cycle accounting responsibilities ensuring accurate and timely results are provided to the business
Prepare monthly profit and loss statements and various other reports
Liaise with operations management on accounting issues
Responsible for complex balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare and calculate regular tax filings (GST, PST, MAT, etc)
Maintain effective internal controls, identify risks and propose recommendations for required control changes as necessary
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, prioritizing automation where possible.
Build great working relationships with the business to promote synergies
Support the annual external financial statement audits and tax filing requirements
Perform other accounting duties as required
Role Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
CPA designation, or equivalent
Experience in full-cycle accounting role with a strong working knowledge of GAAP
Strong financial analysis skills and independent problem solving
Exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work within established deadlines and time constraints
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to have fun and be a great team player
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel and ERP systems (Experience with Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations, Power BI & Planful would be considered an asset)
