Job Description
- Set up and maintain wave soldering equipment (e.g., ERSA, Electrovert).
- Create and maintain process documentation including work instructions, solder profiles, and process parameters.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to solder bridges, cold solder joints, poor wetting, or component damage.
- Follow up with improvement projects as assignment from Engineer.
- Monitor and adjust soldering parameters such as conveyor speed, preheat temperatures, flux quantity, and solder pot settings.
- The PCB Process Technician supports the daily operation
- Assist with line troubleshooting to reduce downtime and improve yields.
- Support first article builds and process validation for new products.
- Collect data on process performance and assist engineers with yield and defect analysis.
- Follow IPC-A-610 standards for visual inspection and quality control.
- Maintain ESD-safe working conditions and handle components appropriately.
- Tertiary education in Electrical/Electronics Engineering,
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience as a test technician in a similar Electronics company.
- Electronics test, troubleshooting, and repair experience
- Experience testing and diagnosing electronic products, power supplies and related products.
- Ability to work from electrical schematics, change notices, and use standard electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to make common mechanical connections associated with power supply testing
- Good communications skills with proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Knowledgeable on Windows applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with SAP systems
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
