What you’ll do
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer in our Ground and Underground Engineering team based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington, you’ll be a vital part of a team changing the way we design and deliver major works to be carbon neutral and sustainable. We embrace challenges, welcomes diverse ideas, and engineer solutions with people and outcomes in mind.
Manage work programs to ensure they are delivered to client expectations, timeframes, and specifications
Deliver multiple concurrent projects across their entire life cycle, including scope management, contract administration, financial management, project scheduling, and risk management
Undertake site investigations for a wide variety of large-scale infrastructure projects
Deliver geotechnical tasks including site investigation, analysis, design, reporting, and construction supervision across projects of varying size and complexity
Collaborate with a supportive multidisciplinary team to achieve client goals across commercial, industrial, land development, transportation, and municipal infrastructure projects
What you’ll bring
Bachelor of Engineering in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, with 8+ years of experience in a similar consulting environment
Strong local experience in geotechnical analysis and design, including settlement, foundations, slope stability, and retaining wall design
Proven experience in planning and delivering site investigations, ground modelling, and geotechnical risks assessment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging clients on technical and commercial matters. A collaborative mindset and a commitment to mentoring and developing junior team members in a multidisciplinary environment
A track record of delivering technically robust, practical solutions on complex infrastructure projects.
Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status, or a commitment to achieving chartership.
