Employment Type: Full-Time 40 hours per week
Shift: Day Shift, Monday through Friday, 6am to 230pm
Location: Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital
Position Purpose
Responsible for the transporting of patients throughout the hospital with appropriate equipment and in a safe and in a timely manner.
As a Transporter you will:
Be responsible for the transporting of patients throughout the hospital with appropriate equipment and in a safe and in a timely manner.
Demonstrate good judgment in selecting proper mode of “transportation”
Be respectful of patients and show compassion and empathy
Maintain Patient Safety in Preparation for Transport to Ancillary Areas as Well as Upon Return to Unit
Demonstrate Proper Infection Control Practices and Precautions in All Patient Care Activities
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Prior hospital transport or patient care experience required
BLS for Healthcare Providers required
