VP of Engineering (75% development, 25% leadership)

Job Description:
What you’ll be doing
• Lead the software development team, including architecture, devops, resource and security decisions
• Work with the executive team to shape and execute the product roadmap
• Manage and develop the other engineers and contractors, including code review, mentoring, and coaching
• Direct our agile-based team environment to achieve sprint deliverables and acceptance criteria
• Deliver technology from concept to deployment
• Design and monitor metrics to assess system and infrastructure performance
• Configure and maintain our external development and production resources (e.g. AWS, Heroku, Github, etc.)
• Support our cyber and data security programs

Your skill set
• 10+ years of leadership and hands-on development experience on SaaS engineering teams
• Advanced knowledge of Ruby on Rails and JavaScript
• Strong technical design and architecture skills
• Managed development of web and mobile apps
• Proficient in Github
• Strong understanding of unit testing and front-end integration
• Familiarity with QA processes and methodologies
• Effective communication skills 
• Previous experience with consumer applications is preferred, embracing the connection between marketing and technology
• Startup experience also a plus
