Job Description

We are now looking to hire a passionate, dynamic, analytical, innovative, hands-on and customer-obsessed candidate to support network optimization. The Last Mile Network Control Manager act as the lead on driving network performance (quality, speed and cost) through projects and network initiatives, and will form a business partnership with first and middle mile stakeholders and operational AMZL Teams. You will play a key role in developing and deploying network speed initiatives, delivering our vision to improve customer order cut offs and driving great customer experience, as well as in our cost out activities and asset utilization. A significant proportion of role will be identifying and implementing design and process solutions that increase the reliability and consistent delivery of end to end performance, removing defects from the pipeline and deliver a corresponding improvement. The role will own the approval from senior functional leaders to enable strategies to improve performance and schedule cross-functional resource allocation efficiently and effectively. You will work closely with our Fulfilment Centers and Transportation functions and will be a natural self-starter who is comfortable supporting complex cross functional projects and action plans. You will have a true hands-on approach, the ability to generate solutions, strong process management skills, and be an effective communicator. This position involves regular communication with senior management on network performance, risks and time critical mitigation activities. In order to be successful in this position, you need to be comfortable interfacing with senior stakeholders as well as driving various functional teams and individuals at all levels of the organization. A day in the life
Your day starts with reviewing key performance indicators across delivery stations in your country, analyzing trends in inbound volumes, capacity utilization, and delivery performance. You'll collaborate with operations teams to troubleshoot network constraints, assess the feasibility of proposed changes, and validate that planned flows support operational requirements. A significant portion of your time is dedicated to strategic projects whether designing network improvements to enable later cut-off times, optimizing middle-mile transportation to reduce costs, or developing solutions that enhance delivery experience. You'll translate complex data into actionable recommendations, presenting insights to cross-functional stakeholders while maintaining the detailed planning that keeps the network running smoothly.
About the team
Last Mile Network Control (LM NC) aims to design the best network connectivity to support growth, improve speed and ensure the DS inbound flow allows for smooth and optimal operations. The team coordinates and drives the strategic network design to increase capacity and/or provide later cut-offs, while at the same time continuously support DS to ensure network health and inbound solve. The IB Profile impacts operations (shifts, idle time, emergency routes) and CX (DEA, delivery window, FDDS), thus will double down on accurate planning and reporting.

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience building measures and metrics, and developing reporting solutions
- Experience in Project/Program management
- Experience in operational logistics/supply chain, manufacturing, transportation, general management or an engineering role
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- Master's degree, or Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field
- Experience communicating and presenting to senior leadership
- Experience coordinating cross-functional inputs, meeting deadlines, and effectively managing competing priorities
- Master's degree or above in Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or experience effectively communicating complex concepts through written and verbal communication
- Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders
- Experience with agile or other program management methodologies
