Our Strategy & Transformation Consulting team in Sydney has some exciting projects lined up and as a result we have multiple opportunities for consultants to support the delivery of projects and programs from strategy through to execution.

We are seeking expressions of interest from suitably experienced professionals to join our team across the following levels on short-term contracts:

• Consultant
• Manager
• Senior Manager
• Director

You will have the opportunity to work across all sectors including government as well as the private sector, under the guidance and mentorship of Partners with many decades of experience.  Permanent opportunities also available for the right candidate.

About the Opportunities

As a member of our consulting team, you will collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improved performance, assist with developing and implementing solutions, and work closely with senior members of the team to provide exceptional service to our clients.

Some examples of the types of engagements that you will be part of include:  

• Strategy, Portfolio Prioritisation and Planning
• Operating Model design, implementation and review
• Transformation delivery across programs and projects
• Process optimisation
• Business Performance Improvement

Responsibilities include:

• Managing or delivering a variety of projects in accordance with BDO’s methodologies and procedures. This will include report writing and communicating with clients.
• Collaborating across various BDO teams to deliver valuable advice and precise recommendations to our clients.
• Leading or supporting business development activities including engaging with current and potential future clients, tracking potential engagement opportunities, and developing proposals
• Developing and maintaining relationships with clients (and the broader industry) and working with Partners in creating future business opportunities.
• Any other activities as required to support the efficient management and function of the team

About You

We are looking for highly-motivated individuals with a strong background in delivering strategy / transformation engagements. It is highly recommended that you have the following:

• Consulting experience from global well-established consulting organisations, preferably in the area of Project / Program delivery and/or advisory, or similar professional services experience
• Deep understanding of operating models/business design projects from creation through to planning and implementation
• Confidence and maturity to work with and facilitate consultations/sessions/discussions with senior leaders to create space for difficult conversations and achieve alignment on key areas of proposed models (e.g. vision, people, process, technology)
• Experience driving projects from inception to close following a structured approach and best practice project management principles
• Ability to communicate effectively (via reports, spreadsheets, presentations, emails, and in conversations), work in a multi-disciplinary team, manage engagements and deliverables
• Depending on the seniority of the role being applied for, demonstrated ability to lead, or contribute to, client relationships and business development activities and initiatives
• For leadership roles you’ll have experience aligning leaders to a clear vision, setting strategy, planning, designing and implementing future operating models and delivering change
• Relevant qualifications including (but not limited to) Prince2, ScrumMaster, SAFe Agile, 3P, etc.
