Position Summary

Pool and Spa Depot is looking to hire a Service Department Manager to be based at our La Vergne, TN headquarters.

The Service Department Manager will lead the day-to-day operations of the In-House Service Department, ensuring efficiency while maintaining the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.

Job Duties (including but not limited to)

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and install pool-related equipment such as safety pool covers, safety fences, etc. for residential and commercial customers.

  • Explain and schedule pool openings, pool closings, and routine pool maintenance.

  • Handle customer calls in a customer service-focused manner.

  • Provide repair and service quotes for customers.

  • Coordinate service technicians, including scheduling and assigning daily tasks.

  • Provide timely resolution of customer complaints, concerns, and inquiries.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of all products and services.

  • Support ongoing learning, training, and development of the team.

  • Maintain strong communication with ownership and leadership.

  • Manage a team of 5–10 employees, including timekeeping and disciplinary actions.

  • Interview, hire, and train new staff.

  • Attend management meetings and provide department updates.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a service role.

  • Current and valid Driver's License.

  • Demonstrated experience supervising, leading, and motivating a team.

  • Previous experience with swimming pool equipment, maintenance, and repair preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and/or Google Docs.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Acute attention to detail.

  • Willing to work overtime as needed, including Saturdays.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
