How you’ll contribute
A Paramedic who excels in this role:
- Safely navigates ambulance to patient's location.
- Provides stabilization of scene and requests additional assistance as necessary.
- Determines nature and extent of illness or injury and patient's history from available sources.
- Administers emergency medical care within scope of practice, including patient stabilization, monitoring, and resuscitation, from the scene to receiving medical facility.
- Contacts medical personnel, reports/records observations, and follows directives.
- Ensures that during a shift that the assigned unit is properly equipped, stocked, and prepared to respond to a single or multiple patient incidents.
- Representing Harris EMS in meetings, workshops and demonstrations for the public

Education: Associate's Degree Preferred
Licenses: Paramedic; National Registry preferred
Certifications: AHA, ARC or ASHI/HSI BLS/CPR; AHA, ARC or ASHI/HSI ACLS/ALS; AHA, ARC or ASHI/HSI PALS or PEPP; Trauma Certification: BTLS, PHTLS, ITLS, TECC or TCCC
Minimum Work Experience:
Minimum of 3 years experience as a full time paramedic
