About the Growth Acceleration Representative - Flex:
MarketStar is looking for a Growth Acceleration Representative to support our Flex team in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Growth Acceleration Team is a dedicated, high-impact unit built to experiment, validate, and scale new go-to-market strategies for Flex's SMB segment. Unlike traditional account management or standard inbound sales, this team focuses on testing new, unverified lead sources with data-driven rigor, documenting what works, establishing baseline performance, and producing clear go/no-go recommendations. Your role requires a true hunter mentality: navigating cold data pools, bypassing gatekeepers, establishing urgent need, and articulating deep value to convert cold prospects into scaled revenue wins. Over time, you will also help pioneer and test entirely new sales motions, outreach strategies, and market development approaches.
Location: Salt Lake City, Utah - Hybrid
What Will You Do?
Run structured sales experiments across unverified, cold lead pools using multi-channel outreach (cold calling, email, social) to find repeatable conversion paths.
Confidently bypass administrative barriers to identify, reach, and engage key dSMB decision-makers.
Transition cold conversations into high-interest discovery calls by quickly diagnosing pain points and tailoring the Flex value proposition.
Maintain precise, meticulous documentation of sales processes, objections, and outcomes to help establish baseline performance expectations for new lead sources.
Partner with leadership to provide data-driven feedback and strategic recommendations on whether specific lead pools or outreach channels are viable for long-term scaling.
Own the entire sales process from cold outreach and qualification to demo, negotiation, and closed-won status.
Track 100% of activity, notes, and metrics within Salesforce to ensure the integrity of the data being used to measure experiment success.
Pivot quickly between different sales motions, messaging frameworks, and target profiles as the team’s testing focus evolves.
What Will You Need to Succeed?
2+ years of quota-carrying, hunter sales experience; outbound SaaS, B2B, or tech sales experience is highly preferred (this is an experienced seller profile, not an account management role).
Proven track record in outbound prospecting, including a high comfort level with making a high volume of cold phone calls daily to build pipeline from scratch.
Advanced discovery and objection-handling skills; ability to create urgency and establish a clear need where one wasn't previously recognized.
An analytical, process-oriented mindset; comfortable with ambiguity and excited by the prospect of testing, measuring, and documenting what works versus what doesn't.
Exceptional communication skills; ability to quickly establish credibility and authority over the phone with small-to-midsize business owners.
Strong proficiency with sales tech; experience with Salesforce, sequencing tools, and data enrichment platforms is strongly preferred.
Highly curious, adaptable, and resilient; eager to ask deeper questions to uncover insights, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where strategies, scripts, and target segments change frequently based on real-time data.
