- Adheres to all departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.- Assumes responsibility for the weighing of riders and riding equipment to ensure handicaps are appropriate on racing programs; maintains communications throughout the race.- Maintains accurate scale sheets, records of scratches, and rider changes for each race; communicates scratches and riding changes to appropriate assigned team members.- Weighs out jockeys prior to each race; may direct rider to insert or remove lead pad from saddle pocket to meet specified weight; ensures identities and correct distribution of saddlecloths; weighs in jockey and equipment following each race and ensures lead pads were not lost during race.- Continuously communicates with various officials,...
