The opportunity
Join an innovative R&D team shaping high voltage technologies. You will contribute to the simulation and analysis of thermo-fluid phenomena relevant to switching performance and thermal behavior in gas circuit breakers. The work combines numerical simulation, data analysis, and engineering evaluation, supporting ongoing product development activities. You will work in a multidisciplinary R&D environment and collaborate with experienced engineers and researchers in the field of high-voltage technology. Bring your curiosity and make an impact from day one. The duration of the internship is 6 - 12 months.
How you’ll make an impact
Setup and run 2D and 3D CFD simulations
Perform thermo-fluid simulations using ANSYS Fluent
Analyze and evaluate simulation and experimental data
Post-process results using internal engineering tools
Collaborate on improving simulation models and approaches
Support product development through engineering insights
Document simulation setups and key findings
Contribute ideas to enhance performance and design
Your background
Enrolled in Bachelor or Master or done with studies in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or similar field
Knowledge of computational fluid dynamics and thermal management
Familiarity with CAD tools and experience using ANSYS Fluent
Programming skills in Python or MATLAB
Strong English communication skills and team-oriented mindset
Willingness to handle responsibilities independently
