Job Description
A Day in the Life
- Be part of the only dedicated stroke unit in northern Michigan, a 29-bed private room unit specializing in the care of patients with neurologic deficits.
- As part of a Comprehensive Stroke Center (CSC) designation, we care for a wide range of complex neurological conditions, including:
- Ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes
- Seizure disorders
- Headaches and mood disorders
- Rare and complex neurologic syndromes
- Post-operative neurosurgical care (e.g., thrombectomies, TNK, craniotomies, VP shunts)

What’s Required
- Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Michigan
- Passion for neurology and high-acuity care
- BLS Certification
- ACLS preferred
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification (to be obtained during unit orientation)
- Experienced RNs and new grads with a strong interest in neuro
