Job Description

Summary Statement:
 

The Retail Supervisor is to oversee daily operations and support the management team in achieving department goals and maximizing revenue and profit. The Retail Supervisor assists with coaching and developing the retail team and ensuring service standards are exceeded. The Supervisor supports the Manager of Retail with implementing and achieving department goals that support overall property strategic tactics. The ideal candidate creates a work environment that supports our core values, and promotes integrity, teamwork, performance, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction. All responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with all laws and regulations, as well as Resorts World Las Vegas policies, practices, and procedures.

Primary Job Duties: – Includes but is not limited to:

  • Maintain an efficient and cost-effective operation including labor management, appropriate staffing levels, services, and inventory control.
  • Partner with management team to develop and maintain floor standards, visual merchandising, guest service standards, and sales tactics.
  • Participate in the budget process, establish, and track monthly goals.
  • Lead and assist in the preparation and execution of physical inventories and counts.
  • Assist with implementing techniques that motivate the team to continue to improve selling performance and achieving personal and store goals and tasks.
  • Identify opportunities within the department and propose ideas that will increase overall profitability for the entire property.
  • Establish and promote a guest focused environment.
  • Monitor standards, delegation of daily work, and running of all reports for the department.
  • Develop relationships with property leaders to ensure effective communication between the Retail team and operating departments.
  • Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
  • Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested.

Qualifications: – Includes but is not limited to:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Polished appearance and demeanor.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to successfully mentor a team.

Preferred

  • Previous experience managing a team of more than twenty-five employees.
  • Lead or supervisory experience in a similar or related field.
  • Previous experience in a large, luxury resort setting.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • At least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year of Retail experience in a similar or related field.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

  • Work is typically performed in a variety of environments including but not limited to offices, retail outlets and inventory stock rooms.
  • Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.

  • Bending and reaching.
  • Transporting, pushing, pulling, lifting, and maneuvering items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Eye/hand coordination.
  • Ability to comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (SDS) and other instructions.
