Description
As an experienced Quality Engineer you will lead the resolution of product quality issues and drive improvements through analysis, problem-solving and collaboration. Monitor and interpret quality performance measures.
Role Details:
• Annual salary up to £40,000 - dependent on skills and experience.
• On-target annual bonus of up to 5%, with the potential to earn up to a maximum of 10% based on business and departmental performance
• Role based: New Lane, Huntington, York, YO32 9PT - Must live local to York
• Permanent
• Annual leave of 25 days per annum plus bank holidays and opportunity to buy an additional 5 days each year.
In this role you will be required to:
• Measure, verify and inspect materials to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Undertake internal supplier and process audits and support external audits, ensuring non-conformities or observations are closed out.
• Act as a Quality ambassador by delivering training, coaching and sharing best practice across teams.
• Coordinate cross-functional problem-solving activities, facilitating meetings and driving actions.
• Create reports and presentation materials, providing quality analysis and supporting senior-level quality reviews.
• Liaise between departments and engage with suppliers and the supply chain on quality matters.
• Complete quality reports, problem escalations and concession documentation, supporting stakeholders to do the same.

Our Ideal Candidate
• Ability to read and understand design, engineering, manufacturing and measurement, including the ability to read drawings, apply geometric tolerancing and use measurement techniques.
• Has knowledge of Quality Systems e.g. ISO9001
• Understands problems solving and continuous improvement techniques
• Experience of data collection and analysis
• HNC/HND/Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• A full UK driving licence
• Experience of data analysis, statistical techniques and presentation skills
• Experience of problem solving, root cause analysis with knowledge of continuous process improvement
