
Travel Analyst

AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices based on our extensive IP and patent portfolio and designed for both commercial and government applications. Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and service-driven Travel Analyst to support and optimize corporate travel operations. This role serves as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external travel partners, ensuring seamless travel coordination, policy compliance, and cost efficiency. The Travel Analyst is also responsible for managing candidate travel logistics and temporary housing arrangements while delivering exceptional traveler experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate end-to-end travel arrangements for external candidates, including flights, accommodations, and ground transportation
- Serve as the main point of contact for candidates, ensuring a smooth and professional travel experience
- Manage travel budgets and ensure cost-effective booking practices
- Partner with internal teams to align on travel schedules and requirements
- Oversee temporary housing arrangements for employees requiring short-term accommodations, from booking through completion
- Build and maintain relationships with housing providers and vendors to ensure quality and cost efficiency
- Track usage, duration, and costs associated with temporary housing and provide reporting insights
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate approvals and billing processes
- Review and validate travel bookings to ensure adherence to company policies and cost optimization
- Coordinate with travel vendors to manage changes, cancellations, and urgent travel issues
- Act as the internal resource for travel-related inquiries and resolve issues promptly
- Analyze travel data and vendor reports to identify trends, savings opportunities, and process improvements
- Generate reports on travel spend, vendor performance, and program effectiveness
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reconciliation and reporting of travel-related expenses
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Travel Management, or a related field is preferred (or equivalent work experience)
Experience:
A minimum of 1–3 years of relevant experience in travel coordination, corporate travel management, or administrative support roles
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a travel agency or similar environment
- Familiarity with corporate travel programs and vendor management
- Background in coordinating business travel within an administrative or operations role
- Exposure to handling travel logistics for candidates or employees

- Travel booking tools and reservation systems (e.g., GDS platforms or online booking tools)
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

- Collaboration tools (e.g., Teams or similar platforms)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a standard office environment and use a computer for extended periods
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
- Occasional flexibility to respond to urgent travel needs outside standard hours
