Our 162-unit apartment community in Mt. Arlington is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Service Technician with 2+ years of maintenance experience who enjoys troubleshooting, takes initiative, and delivers outstanding customer service. This position is part of a two-person maintenance team, so the ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently while supporting a Service Manager across daily operations. Strong plumbing and carpentry/sheetrock repair skills are key for success in this role, with opportunities to continue developing HVAC skills. As a Maintenance Technician at Morgan Properties, you will: Be responsible for troubleshooting service issues including, but not limited to, HVAC, general appliances, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing Perform general repairs including drywall, carpentry, and appliance troubleshooting Support apartment make-readies/turns to prepare units for new residents Maintain interior and exterior areas in accordance with company standards, compliance requirements, and applicable laws Assist with grounds and curb appeal, including snow removal (plow experience a plus) Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance service tickets Participate in a rotating on-call schedule Communicate clearly and professionally with residents and office staff regarding repairs and updates   Compensation & Incentives: Base Pay: $24.00 – $27.00/ hr. Up to 50% Rent Discount Property Staff Shared Renewal Commissions Morgan Essentials: $300 quarterly On-Call Appreciation: $15/day for holding the on-call phone Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits 401(k) Retirement Plan with Company Match Generous Paid Time Off, including 10 holidays per year and sick leave   Hours & Schedule: Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Paid rotating on-call participation required Must be available and prepared for emergency events Schedule subject to change based on business needs   What We’ll Expect From You: Minimum 2 years of maintenance or related trades experience required Strong experience with plumbing and carpentry/sheetrock repairs HVAC experience is a plus; willingness to learn and develop skills is important Comfortable using a smartphone, mobile apps, and computer systems Strong communication and customer service skills Active, valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle Ability to live within a reasonable commute of the property HVAC / EPA / CFC certification preferred   #AC6151
