Salary: Base Salary ranges from $62,700 to $104,700, commensurate with experience.

Eligibility for Florida certification is required. FL certification in ESOL (Grades K-12) is a prerequisite for teaching in field. The Bureau of Educator Certification has developed instructional videos to guide applicants through the certification process, covering topics such as Florida's Online Educator Certification System Set-up and the Florida Teacher Certification Application. How to Become FL Certified in ESOL (Grades K-12):
- Out-of-State Certification: If you hold an unexpired, out-of-state, professional educator certificate in this subject area, please apply for Florida reciprocity.
- ESOL Major: Commonly accepted bachelor's (or higher degree) majors for a Florida temporary educator certificate include: English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
- Other Majors: For other degree majors, pass the subject area exam in ESOL K�12. This 2.5 hour computer based test is 80 multiple choice questions. Locate a test center. Study materials are available for purchase through The Learning Liaisons and 240 Tutoring. Free sample questions are available here. If at first you don't succeed, you may retest every 30 days. The exam costs $150, unless you have an approved Military Vet or Spouse Certification Fee Waiver or Retired First Responder Fee Waiver. Scores are automatically reported to the FLDOE.
