We are seeking a highly experienced Manager Service Management to lead and deliver software development and ServiceNow-related projects.

The ideal candidate has strong project leadership skills, experience managing medium-to-large teams, and solid understanding of software development processes and methodologies.

Responsibilities

Project Management & Delivery

  • Coordinate all aspects of the project throughout the software development lifecycle using established methodologies
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, risks, and documentation.
  • Hold service review meetings with Customer via, monthly, and quarterly governance meetings.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to customers, management, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of all project documentation.
  • Ensure normal service operation is restored as quickly as possible and the business impact is minimized

Technical & Process Leadership

  • Gather and support the creation of requirements documentation.
  • Write or review design and implementation documents when necessary.
  • Meet with customer regularly to provide thought leadership and strategic guidance on customers future vision.
  • Deliver future state roadmaps and assist with evangelizing strategy and roadmaps to customer’s internal business groups.
  • Assist with Operational architectural design and guidance on the existing Platform.
  • Ensure best practices and quality standards are followed throughout the project.
  • Support testing and deployment activities, including post‑go‑live processes.

Team Leadership

  • Manage teams of up to 20 people, working directly with customers and other stakeholders to deliver the project.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and performance support to team members.
  • Be involved in the recruitment/interview process when needed.
  • Approve software tools, licenses, and project-related purchases when appropriate.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Work closely with onshore teams, customers, and directors as required.
  • Coordinate with vendors and external partners to ensure successful delivery.

Requirements

Must-Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 2+ years of project management experience.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and people management abilities.
  • PMP, iTIL certification is a plus.

Nice-to-Have (Optional)

  • Experience with SaaS platforms or workflow/automation tools (e.g., ServiceNow, SAP, Salesforce….).
  • Understanding of ITSM/ITIL processes.
  • Japanese language skills.
