Job Description

The Department of Radiology at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking additional Interventional Radiologists to join a growing and highly specialized practice.

The Interventional Radiology (IR) Division at Mayo Clinic Florida supports the needs of a destination medical center, delivering high-level care with a strong focus on interventional oncology and transplantation. The division performs more than 8,000 minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures annually, supported by 10 board-certified interventional radiologists in a state-of-the-art facility featuring four single-plane interventional suites and one CT/angiography hybrid room. With the planned addition of two new procedure rooms in 2027, we are seeking highly qualified candidates to support both a subspecialized outpatient IR practice and a robust, expanding inpatient service.

A well-established outpatient clinic supports a thriving consultation practice and has facilitated further IR subspecialization. The interventional oncology program is actively engaged in multidisciplinary tumor boards and offers a comprehensive range of transarterial and ablative therapies. We are particularly interested in candidates with subspecialty expertise or interest in:

  • Treatment of secondary liver malignancies, especially metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC)
  • Lung ablation
  • Lymphatic disease management

The inpatient IR service is transitioning to a primary consult model, with substantial support from residents and advanced practice providers (APPs). Interventional radiologists participate in inpatient consult coverage on a rotational basis, integrated with primary call responsibilities. Additionally, IR faculty are responsible for the primary interpretation of diagnostic vascular imaging, including CT and MR angiography.

Consistent with Mayo Clinic’s mission of patient care, education, and research, the department fully supports the integrated IR residency, independent IR residency, and Early Specialization in Interventional Radiology (ESIR) pathways. Faculty members are expected to actively engage in teaching and research within both the interventional and diagnostic radiology training programs.

The Department of Radiology is further supported by 10 experienced advanced practice providers (APRNs and PAs) who work collaboratively with IR faculty to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Radiology for the Interventional Radiology IR/DR certificate.
