
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Job Description
Responsible for providing direct nursing care under the direction of a physician, assists medical providers, and maintains a clean and safe environment in accordance with policies and procedures.

Assists in assessments process by collecting data, making observations and reporting/documenting in the medical record

Demonstrates the knowledge and ability to care for age specific needs of the population served

Makes observation related to patient progress in achieving established goals

Instructs patient/significant other(s) and/or reinforces teaching according to patient plan of care an established by multi-disciplinary team

Recognizes physical changes and responds within standards of care

Documentation is consistently complete, accurate and legible including medications administered, exceptions and patients’ response

Ensures that core measure and meaningful use standards are met in accordance with policies and procedures

Anticipates physician’s routine needs and provides such in a timely fashion

Performs professionally in emergency and crisis situations

Provides appropriate patient and family education
Education and Experience
-
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
-
Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Florida
-
EMR/EHR experience preferred, NextGen or Athena experience preferred
-
Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider required
