Overview This position is hybrid sitting threed days a week in our Charlotte, North Carolina office. You'd be responsible for implementing and maintaining the Split Dollar Life Insurance reporting and fulfillment standards of the Company as well as ensuring deliverables are accurate and provided in a timely manner. How you'll make an impact Duties and Responsibilities: Analyze and prepare split dollar life insurance client budgeting reports Run inforce life insurance projections using various carrier illustration systems while monitoring reporting or system issues Manage the Split Dollar life insurance fulfillment process including the review of legal documents, creating client letters and fulfillment packages while tracking the timing of participant payments Create all appropriate documents for terminated participants in Split Dollar plans Track and implement insurance policy changes such as reductions in death benefits and changes to death benefit options Work with other departments to review quarterly financial reports for Split Dollar plans Willing to work extended hours to meet deadlines Any other responsibilities that may be assigned as needed Job Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of how life insurance policies work Prior experience working with Life Insurance preferred Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel Proficient computer skills in other Microsoft Office applications (including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint) and accessing the Internet for research Professional written and oral communication skills Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, clients, and carrier contacts Appropriately represent the Company to external parties Ability to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple projects/tasks Ability to operate effectively in a team environment Must have excellent organizational and administrative skills Be attentive to detail, have excellent follow through and good time management to see a task or project through to completion Have strong analytical, mathematical, critical thinking and reasoning skills Take advantage of opportunities to learn more about the insurance industry, products and plan designs Initiative to take on new tasks or requests Ability to manage time efficiently About You Bachelors Degree in business, finance, accounting, actuarial science or related field 2-5 years of experience in the life insurance industry, with knowledge of split dollar plans preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience Compensation and benefits We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
