Job Description
Entry-level data engineering role focused on platform reliability, observability, and AI infrastructure support. Works with Python, SQL, Terraform, and cloud platforms across the Data Analytics organization.
The Data Platform Engineer will be a key contributor to Solidigm's Data Analytics organization, working across Data Visualization, Data Engineering, DBA, and Machine Learning teams to strengthen the reliability, observability, and overall health of our data platform. This is a hands-on role for a recent graduate who is self-motivated, technically curious, and ready to take ownership with some guidance from senior engineers.
You will help ensure that our data systems are stable, monitored, and built to scale - while supporting the day-to-day needs of a cross-functional analytics organization operating on cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and collaborate with Data Visualization, Data Engineering, DBA, and ML teams to ensure platform reliability and continuity
- Implement and improve observability and monitoring solutions across data pipelines and platform services
- Identify and address reliability gaps, helping establish best practices for alerting, logging, and incident response
- Write and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform to provision and manage cloud resources on Azure.
- Develop and maintain scripts and automation using Python and SQL to support platform operations and data workflows
- Contribute to platform documentation, runbooks, and internal tooling to improve team efficiency
- Proactively surface issues, propose solutions, and follow through on execution with moderate supervision
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field - Open to new grads
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Familiarity with cloud platforms Azure through coursework, internships, or personal projects
- Basic understanding of infrastructure-as-code concepts; exposure to Terraform is a plus
- Analytical mindset with a genuine interest in system reliability, monitoring, and data quality
- Comfortable working with some autonomy — able to manage your own tasks, ask the right questions, and drive work to completion
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across technical teams
