BUSINESS UNIT

We are building an InsurTech platform that enables insurance companies to provide temporary accommodation to customers affected by disruptive events (e.g., fire, flood, property damage).

Our system manages the full lifecycle:

  • Claim intake → accommodation booking → stay management → billing
  • Integration with insurers, internal HRS systems, and global accommodation providers

This is a highly distributed, integration-heavy system with real-world impact.

POSITION

Are you a passionate .NET engineer who treats AI as a daily collaborator rather than a novelty? Join our InsurTech team and help build platforms that support customers during critical situations such as property damage or unexpected displacement. You will deliver scalable, integration-heavy systems that manage the full lifecycle from insurance claim to accommodation booking and billing, while raising the bar on how modern AI-assisted development is practiced inside the team. We are looking for a proactive engineer who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced, spec-driven environment and is motivated to solve complex, real-world problems.

CHALLENGE

  • Build AI-first, every day: Use AI coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor or equivalent) as a core part of design, implementation, refactoring, testing and documentation — not as a one-off shortcut. Write effective prompts, critically validate AI output, and raise team practices through the way you work.
  • Practice spec-driven development: Turn product specs (the Who, What and When) into working software. Collaborate on the How with the team and with AI assistance, and surface ambiguity before code is written.
  • Take ownership of complex workflows: Work closely with stakeholders to implement and integrate end-to-end processes from claim intake to booking, stay and pay.
  • Build scalable, distributed systems: Develop robust backend services using .NET, focusing on microservices and high system reliability.
  • Work on integration-heavy systems: Integrate with external insurance platforms, accommodation providers, and internal HRS systems using APIs and messaging patterns.
  • Ship frequently and safely: Work in n-week sprints with multiple releases per sprint via Azure DevOps pipelines. Treat deployment frequency as a quality signal, backed by automated tests and observability.
  • Ensure system quality and reliability: Write unit and integration tests, troubleshoot production issues, and maintain high standards for performance and stability.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement: Refactor and optimize existing systems, evolve the architecture, and adopt best practices in software design and AI-assisted workflows.
  • Collaborate in a cross-functional environment: Partner with PM, fellow engineers, and the Engineer in Test to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Drive technical documentation: Maintain clear, structured documentation in Azure DevOps, SharePoint, MS Loop and Word to support system evolution and onboarding.
  • Nice to have: AI Engineer knowledge.

FOR THIS EXCITING MISSION YOU ARE EQUIPPED WITH...

  • Relevant experience: 6+ years of experience in .NET development, with strong exposure to modern .NET frameworks and backend architectures (Clean Architecture, NLayer etc.).
  • English Communication Skills: Proficient in Speaking and Writing Skills.
  • AI-first mindset: Daily, fluent use of AI coding assistants (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor or similar). Able to write effective prompts, evaluate AI output critically, and apply AI-assisted workflows across design, coding, testing and documentation.
  • Spec-driven development: Comfortable working from specs (Who / What / When) and translating them into implementation; able to break down ambiguous requirements collaboratively with PM and the team.
  • Solid experience in distributed systems: Hands-on experience building microservices or event-driven systems in production environments.
  • Strong foundation in OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns: Ability to apply these principles to build scalable and maintainable systems.
  • Understanding of domain-driven design (DDD): Experience modeling complex business domains, preferably in InsurTech or TravelTech.
  • Cloud experience: Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure), including CI/CD via Azure DevOps, GitHub Action and operating scalable services (deployment, release management).
  • Agile proficiency: Comfortable working in Agile development method, multiple releases per sprint, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Nice to have: Experience with Saga / Outbox patterns, workflow orchestration, or handling long-running business processes.
  • Nice to have (Fullstack Awareness):  Basic knowledge of frontend technologies (React, HTML, CSS) to collaborate effectively across the stack.

PERSPECTIVE

Access to a global network of a globally united and mutually responsible “Tribe of Intrapreneurs” that is passionately dedicated to renew the travel industry and while doing so reinvent the ways how businesses stay, work and pay.

Our entrepreneurial driven environment of full ownership and execution focus offers you the playground to contribute to a greater mission, while growing personally and professionally throughout this unique journey. You will continuously learn from a radical culture of retrospectives and continuous improvement and actively contribute to making business life better, smarter and more sustainable.

LOCATION, MOBILITY, INCENTIVE

The attractive remuneration is in line with the market and, in addition to a fixed monthly salary, all necessary work equipment and mobility, will also include an annual or multi-year bonus.
