Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Powder Coat Painter, Weekend Shift.
The rate for this position is $20.00 per hour. The hours are Friday through Sunday from 5:00 am to 5:00 pm. This role includes a weekend shift premium, providing 40 hours of pay for a 36‑hour schedule.
This position is also eligible for a variable incentive plan.

What you’ll do:
- Prepare parts, assemblies, and sub‑assemblies for painting by cleaning, handling, and staging materials to meet production and customer demand.
- Load and unload the paint line, including hand‑lifting light loads and operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts) to transport heavier materials.
- Operate paint line equipment and adjust powder flow to achieve required paint finishes and specifications.
- Inspect painted parts after the cool‑down oven to verify film thickness, appearance, and compliance with Eaton quality standards.
- Accurately enter production data and follow established work instructions to complete assignments and special projects on schedule.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and assist with waste disposal to ensure safe, efficient equipment operation.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with 5S standards and comply with all safety, environmental, and PPE requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve production issues, support continuous improvement, and contribute to Lean and quality initiatives.

Qualifications:
Basic:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.

Preferred:
- Prior experience with painting in a fabrication environment.
- Forklift experience or willingness to learn.
- Computer skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Eaton systems including DMM and AS400
Position Criteria:
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including overtime, to support business needs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to analyze problems and influence outcomes.
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools to assemble components and verify product quality in a Lean manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team‑oriented setting.
Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach at or above shoulder level, grip, and use hands to handle or feel objects and materials.
- Frequently required to stoop and perform tasks involving lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to or exceeding 50 pounds.
- Vision requirements include near and far vision, depth perception, and color distinction.
Work Environment:
- Regular exposure to noise while performing job duties.
- Frequent exposure to dust in the work area.
