The Mechanic Field Shop is responsible for the independent execution of mechanical service, repair and overhaul activities in the workshop. The role ensures that all assigned work is performed safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved work orders, technical specifications, quality standards and planning.
What Will You Do?
- Prepare and execute work orders issued by the Engineering and Work Preparation departments, including the selection and availability of required materials, tools and equipment.
- Independently perform mechanical maintenance, repair and assembly activities in accordance with established work instructions and procedures.
- Read, interpret and apply technical drawings, specifications and documentation, and determine appropriate technical solutions in consultation with Engineering when required.
- Prepare and complete measurement protocols, inspection reports and other technical documentation in line with quality requirements.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable quality, safety, health and environmental standards at all times.
- Identify, report and take appropriate action in relation to unsafe situations, deviations or potential risks.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to safety awareness, quality of work and operational efficiency.
What will you bring?
Required Qualifications and Experience
- MBO-level education in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
- Proven experience with reciprocating compressors and rotating equipment.
- Valid VCA Full certificate or willingness to obtain this certification.
- Ability to work independently based on work orders and technical documentation.
