Job Description
The Sr. Strategy & Project Manager - ePMO position exists to provide superior enterprise project leadership and play a critical role in strategy, definition, coordination, assessment, analysis, and delivery of the aspects of Focus on the Family’s enterprise initiatives. These enterprise efforts, with varied complexities ranging from small to complex large-scale projects, will require collaborative work with internal support teams, senior leadership, and external representatives to ensure that all project team members have a complete understanding of the customers’ project needs and requirements. This position must be aware of sponsor and owner expectations, overall direction of the project, requirements, scope, tasks, resources, timeline, etc. This position must be able to strategically manage situations that may unexpectedly evolve during the project or in the customer relationship. This position is responsible for strategy identification and management of large-scale, complex, and strategically important enterprise projects for Focus on the Family.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Leads cross-functional project teams, ensuring that team members are aligned on project goals and timelines
Engages with business sponsors, stakeholders, and subject matter experts across the enterprise to create/identify strategy, as well as manage technical, operational, and process requirements gathering/scoping exercises to produce business requirements/scope of deliverables supporting project success
Leads workshops to produce strategic and/or tactical plans, requirement definition, and assisting clients in defining new services based on company business initiatives
Contributes to and partners with the Purchasing department in the development of a Request for Information (RFI) or Request for Proposal (RFP)
Develops enterprise project documentation necessary to successfully launch each project
Provides leadership and mentorship to junior project managers and other team members, helping to develop their skills and capabilities
Builds and maintains customer relationships, monitors customer perceptions of project deliverables, and provides customers with education and options when challenges arise during the project
Owns the process of tracking and communicating appropriately all issues, risks, and action items
Manages post-project activities including project assessment and documentation (e.g., lessons learned and customer satisfaction surveys)
Develops and maintains strong, effective relationships, identifies cross functional dependencies, continually gains, and documents institutional knowledge and interacts with a broad range of stakeholders
Identifies, tracks, manages, and reports progress against major project milestones and mitigates items impacting the successful delivery of project including impacts to timelines, budget, quality, etc.
Whether conducting strategy analysis or managing a project, views each project in the broader strategic context, operating as program/portfolio manager at times because their projects tend to be larger in effort and longer in duration and consisting of multiple sub projects
If conditions external to the project change and affect its value of viability, the Sr. Project Manager takes the lead in making necessary adjustments, up to and including project cancellation recommendation
Owns and maintains customer relationships, monitoring customer perceptions of the deliverables, and providing customers with education and options when challenges arise during the project
Helps business understand it’s needs, risks, assumptions and specifies requirements and risk response that will lead to the optimal solution and deliver intended results
Works closely with and supports enterprise project managers and requirements analyst on all projects that are large scale, complex, and/or strategically important to Focus

Knowledge/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Project Management or equivalent experience/certifications
7-10 years of experience performing as a product owner, business analyst, product manager, project manager or equivalent role
Experience working as a team member in a fast-paced, project orientated, and results-driven environment
Experience interacting with Business Analysts to complement the strategy/requirements phases, preferred
PMP Certified through PMI, preferred
Certified Scrum Master through Scrum Alliance, preferred
Formal training in scope creation and business requirements documentation
Is a highly knowledgeable subject matter expert on a variety of digital, marketing, planning, and operational topics

Salary Range: $92,560 to $108,108
