Purpose of the job
The Vice President, Client Engagement – Adaptive Portfolio is responsible for leading growth and scaled client relationships across a diverse portfolio of mid-sized and high-value project-based clients and for building high-potential accounts into future enterprise partnerships, predominantly in North America. This role partners closely with sales, account management, and operations leadership to accelerate revenue, expand client relationships, and deliver scalable, high-quality solutions. The successful candidate will combine commercial leadership with operational excellence to unlock growth across both new and existing client opportunities.
This role reports directly to one of the Chief Client Officers (CCO) and follows a hybrid/remote working model, with flexibility required to travel when necessary.
Key responsibilities
Growth leadership
Develop and execute growth strategies that expand HH Global’s footprint across the portfolio—enabling both sales-led acquisition and account-led expansion across all service lines.
Client engagement
Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, deeply understand their business needs, and position HH Global as a strategic partner. Identify and convert opportunities for growth and value creation.
Team leadership
Lead cross-functional teams across sales, account management, and production. Align broader support functions to ensure seamless delivery and a consistent, high-quality client experience.
P&L ownership + accountability
Own and manage the adaptive client portfolio P&L (circa $60m), ensuring strong financial performance, disciplined forecasting, and clear reporting.
Strategic leadership
Define and drive the evolution of the operating model for the client portfolio, delivering scalable and repeatable solutions that support sustainable growth.
Operational excellence
Partner with clients and internal operations teams to continuously improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality across marketing execution. Enhance both client outcomes and internal ways of working.
Sustainability + compliance
Embed sustainable practices into delivery, ensuring compliance with global and regional standards while supporting clients’ increasing focus on responsible marketing execution.
The VP will lead the following strategic initiatives:
Business development strategy + execution
Partner with the client portfolio leadership team, business development, CCO’s and sales enablement to create a new business pipeline specifically for the transactional business.
Monitor market trends, the competitive landscape and client insights to determine and adapt winning go to market strategies.
Adaptive transformation strategy
Lead the development and implementation of transformation initiatives designed to meet the unique needs of adaptive clients, balancing scalability with customization.
Identify common client challenges and develop repeatable solutions that can be deployed across multiple sectors, service lines, and/or client types.
Provide insights to drive innovation in service delivery, operating models, and marketing execution strategies.
Client engagement strategy
Lead initiatives to strengthen client relationships and enhance delivery excellence across the portfolio.
Develop and implement engagement frameworks (e.g., strategic reviews, account planning sessions) to drive alignment and long-term partnership growth where appropriate
Analyze client performance and execution effectiveness to identify improvement areas and unlock value.
Stay current with industry and client trends across sectors relevant to clients.
Knowledge, skills + experience
Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a demonstrated track record of driving growth and achieving targets
Proven experience in creating and managing multiple clients successfully through new sales and/or renewal cycles
Strong coaching, mentoring and people management skills
Proven experience in account management, sales or sales management ideally within one or more of HH Global’s sectors (FMCG, Retail, Beverage, Non-Profit, Technology, Financial services or Life Sciences)
Strong presentation preparation and pitching skills
Demonstrable experience with managing large teams and clients with high volumes of transactions
Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels internally and externally.
A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is desirable; equivalent experience will be considered.
