Safety Assurance Engineer in Madrid

We’re looking for a Safety Assurance Engineer to support the delivery of safe and reliable railway signalling systems in Madrid. This is high-impact work, ensuring the safety of critical infrastructure that keeps cities moving every day. Your role, your impact
- Perform safety assurance activities under the guidance of the PSAM
- Apply safety methodologies: Safety Plan, PHA, FMECA, FTA, IHA, OSHA, SRIL, Hazard Log, V&V Safety Report and Safety Case
- Contribute to the preparation of Safety Reports and Safety Case
- Participate in periodic Safety Reviews
- Support closure of findings from internal and external assessors
You’ll work with committed cross-functional teams across engineering and project environments - tackling complex safety challenges in railway signalling systems.
What you bring
- Engineering degree
- Specific training in Railway Safety domain
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Safety Assurance within railway signalling projects (IXL and/or ERTMS)
- Fluent Spanish and English
- French is a plus
- Experience in multicultural and multi-site environments
- Rigorous, reliable, and proactive mindset
