As a Student Assistant at NKT Photonics A/S, a Hamamatsu company, you will gain hands-on experience through engaging and developmental tasks that will help strengthen your professional profile.
We are currently looking for a Student Assistant to join our Finance team for 15–20 hours per week at our headquarters in Birkerød.
In this role, you will become part of a Finance team of 12 colleagues responsible for global financial operations across offices in Denmark, England, Switzerland, Germany, the United States, and Asia. You will support the team with a variety of financial tasks, including both recurring operational activities and project-related assignments where you will contribute to special initiatives and improvements.
Your responsibilities
Each day may be different, and as you develop your expertise and gain broader experience with work assignments, your responsibilities will evolve. However, you will be expected to:
Assist the Finance team with booking invoices, preparing payment runs, expense reports and back-office tasks,
Be an integral part of our accounting team by handling incoming vendor invoices and credit notes.
Month-close activities supporting reports to management and our listed parent company, covering both hands-on tasks and analytical procedures across NKTP group.
Prepare account reconciliation and other audit documentation.
Reporting to authorities.
Special projects, such as further automation of finance processes.
Your qualifications
Second year Bachelor or Master student enrolled in a Finance related discipline (minimum one year left of your studies preferably two or three).
You are a team player, detail-oriented and structured.
You are comfortable with MS Office (especially Excel) and cloud-based solutions.
Open-minded with a can-do attitude.
Fluent in English (both verbal and written).
If you master Danish it will be considered an advantage, but it is not a requirement.
